Commuting by bus to Skylon Park is now even more user-friendly than ever thanks to the introduction of special QR codes at bus stops across Herefordshire.
Herefordshire Council has introduced QR codes at over 500 bus stops across the county allowing passengers to get instant information on the next bus due at their stop.
The 78 and 78X services at Skylon Park are two of the routes included making travelling sustainably to and from Skylon Park even easier.
Much of the information will be in real-time so passengers can see exactly where their next bus is and when it will arrive at their stop. This information is communicated directly from a locator on the bus itself.
How to use the QR codes:
1. Use your smartphone’s camera or a QR code reader to scan the QR code at the bus stop.
2. You will be taken to an information page for your bus stop and will be able to see the information on when the next buses are due at the stop.
3. There is also the option to listen to the bus times as an audio file.
Once the QR code is scanned, passengers can save the link as a bookmark in their web browser so that before future journeys they can access information on their bus before getting to the stop.
This project was funded through the Department for Transport in partnership with Herefordshire Council.
