Hereford business park completes with all units taken

A new development of nine industrial and warehousing units for SMEs has been unveiled at Hereford Enterprise Zone, completing an £8m investment at Skylon Park.

Centenary Park (Phase Two), which offers 17,250 sq ft of workspace for businesses, has been developed by Priority Space and built by Britcon (UK).

Priority Space completed work on the new speculative development for HG Sites and Herefordshire Council in the summer and every one of its new units has already been sold.

The development is part of Priority Space’s £8 million investment in Hereford which covers these twin business parks plus neighbouring office development, Stirling House.

Director of Priority Space Adam Richardson said: “We’re very pleased to complete the second and final phase of Centenary Park which doubles capacity at this site and completes our £8 million investment in Hereford.

“As expected, interest in Centenary Park (Phase Two) has been high, and every one of the new units is sold, subject to contract, on completion, which is very satisfying for a speculative venture.

“We’ve worked closely with the HEZ team on this development and look forward seeing businesses in these new units support further economic growth in Hereford.”

Chair of Hereford Enterprise Zone, Charles Ingleby, said: “The fact that this speculative development is now all completely sold, subject to contract, shows that companies are looking for high quality, business space in Herefordshire – and specifically on Skylon Park. We’re looking forward to welcoming these new companies as we continue to build a strong and dynamic business base here at the Zone.”

Councillor Graham Biggs, Cabinet Member for Economic Development, said the investment with Priority Space was helping to deliver on Herefordshire Council’s vision for Skylon Park. We want to attract ambitious, growing companies creating well-paid, high value jobs to the county of Herefordshire and developments with our partner, Priority Space, are helping to do just that.

“Investors such as USA-headquartered companies Blueprint Robotics and Le Maitre are already on site and it’s great to see the demand for the new units from companies looking for access to skilled workers and supply chains.”

Phase One of Century Park was completed in 2019 and is home to a mix of manufacturing, service industry and commercial enterprises. Phase Two has attracted similar businesses to its units, which range in size from 1,500 sq.ft. and 3,000 sq.ft.

Situated five miles south-east of Hereford city centre with good links to the M50, Centenary Park provides secure, energy-efficient premises with electric car charging points and cycle parking on site.

It is part of Skylon Park, a major development of speculative office, industrial and warehouse units in the Government-backed Hereford Enterprise Zone.
